I earned my bachelors degree in communication studies from The University of Texas Arlington, and completed my graduate work with a Masters in Counseling from Texas A&M Commerce. I have over a decade of experience working with adults and adolescents. I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of individuals from diverse backgrounds. My own journey in healing lead me to my career in counseling, I love that I get to help others grow and heal as well. I am a Safe Zone Ally trained by The University of Texas Dallas. My training is based in diversity, awareness, and inclusion for all. I welcome all clients of sexual orientations and gender identities / expression. I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Texas, license number 82487.
My counseling style is open and inviting. I provide a welcoming, non-judgmental, direct approach and want to help clients discover a positive therapeutic environment. I believe in the power of self-discovery, I believe it is never too late to start a new journey, I believe we are all worthy of healing. I strive to help individuals who are struggling with major life transitions or changes, stressors, anxiety management and reduction, and developing healthy self-relationships. I want to assist you to reduce symptoms of anxiety and stress, build skills to manage emotions, build self-acceptance, self-esteem, and self-confidence.
My therapeutic approach adjusts according to what my client may want and need from our therapeutic relationship, that includes multiple modes of counseling including: Cognitive Behavioral, Mindfulness, Client Centered, and Solution-focused.
